What is Starbucks' position on social media misinformation?

Starbucks is a company whose mission and commitments are based on humanity and solidarity. Truth and transparency are essential to fulfilling our mission, keeping our promises and living our values. At a time when misinformation about our company is spreading online, we believe it is necessary to respond with facts and clarify our position on key issues. 

Unfortunately, misleading statements about who we are and what our positions are continue to be spread on social media. Our position is humanity and connecting people. We strongly reject hate, violence and attacks on innocents - and we are committed to always providing truthful information about our brand. 

Despite misleading statements on social media, Starbucks has never and in any way contributed to government or military operations. On the contrary, we support food aid to communities in need. The Starbucks Foundation, along with global partners, has provided more than $3 million to World Central Kitchen, providing more than one million food rations to families in Gaza.
